I have a color coding thing going for my desiccant, clips etc .. so I know if it can be baked with the filament. Silver is in ABS and I can just cook it will the filament. Blue or white is PETG depending on what it is. My original stuff what white PLA, but I've sharpie them so I know not to bake them. |

New question, my dad wants me to print this cup holder trash can. The MW thing shows PLA. Yeah, right. My dad lives in Florida and PLA might work if he were in the arctic circle. Given I only have a P2S, which would be the best for me to do, ABS or ASA? I’ve had good fortune with ABS for console things for my van so I know that will work. I’m not sure I’ve actually printed with my ASA yet. |

I did that cup in ABS and it printed great. He's really happy with it too! :) New question: anyone familiar with JAYO PLA? Seems there is a steep sale on it right now and my dad wants to buy me some. I just don't trust much going through my printer (P2S). |

Thanks. I passed on his offer to buy it for me. He had me print a bunch of stuff for him before his last trip here so he wanted to restock me with filament. Thankfully he understands how I'm picky about what filament I'm willing to put through the printer. He ended up getting me a 4 spool pack of Sunlu PETG that I print with regularly. |

Since the Bambu AMS's are sealed, a spool shouldn't absorb much while it's in there. When not in use I keep higher use filaments in individual cereal containers with desiccant in it and lesser used spools in a larger sealed tote with desiccant in it. The only time the spool is exposed to more humid air is when it's transferred from the container to the AMS. For TPU spools, I print directly from the cereal container. Since switching to using an AMS & this storage setup, I can't remember ever needing to redry a spool. My first printer didn't have an AMS, so even if I stored spools in sealed containers they were exposed to humid air anytime they were in use and hanging on the side of the printer. I did have a few times that I needed to redry spools back then.....mostly when I'd accidently leave a spool on the printer for a few days after a print had finished. |

I'm having an odd issue with my AMS Pro 2. Slot three doesn't recognize filament being removed from it. RFID works for loading and changing the filament, but when I remove the spool it doesn't ack that and leaves it as though it is loaded. The biggest problem with that is I can't put anything but Bambu RFID spools in it because it won't let me reprogram the slot to be anything that the RFID chip last read doesn't agree with. I submitted a ticket with Bambu but was wondering if any of y'all have any guidance on how I might be able to resolve this. |

Bambu had me send them videos showing the issue. While taking the videos it is more clear what the issue is. The filament loader that lights up at the front of the AMS doesn't recognize when filament is added or removed from it. It seems to think there is always filament in there. When I tried to load filament in slot 4 with nothing in slot three it errored because it couldn't get the RFID chip in three to pass by the sensor in the AMS. If I have a Bambu spool in slot three, 4 works normally and no issues. |

Mostly because I try to wait for repairing myself to be directed by warranty claims. I don't know how long this is covered, but it is barely 6 months old roughly. ETA: Looks like I might not be under warranty for this anyway. The best I can tell, these feeders are only covered for three months and I'm well over that. I tired blowing air through it with the PTFE tube removed using a blower (small USB-C rechargeable ones) but it didn't change anything. I am trying to find more details about the internals of the feeder but all I've found so far is it uses a Hall effect sensor to know if filament is present. I haven't disassembled the AMS yet, just left it installed without the tube. I do have the guide though so I can pull it assuming Bambu condemns it. |

 I took it apart and swapped feeder 3 with 4. I did this to see that the issue moved, and it did. I also did it because I can get to 4 without taking the logic board off the base of the AMS where it has to be pulled for slot 3. If Bambu is going to ship me the part free, or they tell me to order it myself I'm ready. |

Dear Customers, We are making a special exception to send you a replacement AMS Feeder Unit to help you resolve the issue. Your new AMS 2 Pro Feeder Unit has been arranged for shipment. ... Neat! They seem to still think the RFID coil is bad and want to be sure after I replace the feeder. There is nothing apparently wrong with the reader, it is the feeder not knowing it is empty that is the problem. No RFID symptoms if the bad feeder has a Bambu spool loaded in it. |
