Well, to add to the pain of losing the GT3, less than 24 hours after putting down a (non refundable) deposit on a 570, my guy @ Hennessy texts me on the drive to my daughter's rock climbing. They just got a 2016 GT3RS trade in today.    It’s lava orange (like mine was), and with the trade credit sitting there plus the refund from the McLaren dealership, I would have ended up paying less than the GT3. FML.

Thinking of doing an exhaust and tune on my 12 991 s 3.8 NA. Both AWE tuning and Fab Speed seem gtg. Both in PA. AWE is significantly less expensive with similar HP and Torque gains and closer to me. Anybody have any experience with either? Any other recommendations? Thanks. |

When my 991.2 is out of warranty, I am totally going to do that ... even though I have NO NEED for more power at all.

I too have read good things about Cobb. Not sure I need any more either. Debating adding factory PSE (only option I don't have that I would have liked) or aftermarket AWE/FAB. Either way, I won't tune until I see what the improvement is like with exhaust alone... It sounds like an easy 50 hp with both at about $100 per 1hp gain...

It’s a beast on a .2 car, but limited gain on a .1 car especially if you have sport chrono (PDK tuning). PSE is THE option I view as mandatory. I don’t personally care much about Sport Chrono, I never use it - but I use PSE all the time and it brings a smile to my face. Factory PSE is awesome. I have heard Soul and Fabspeed, both sound great. Akrapovic gets a lot of love but is super pricey. |

The .2 steering wheel is the other high-impact upgrade if you don't have the stock sports wheel with paddles. Those stupid thumb shifters SUCK. I did it myself in about an hour. It's pretty easy. Skip the dial wheel integration stuff - that's a gimmick IMO (and I have it). You deal with the wheel every time you drive the car. I recommend it to everyone with the MF PDK wheel. Went from this:  To this:  PS: The Techart "paddles" you can retrofit onto the .1 MF wheel suck ass. Don't do it. They're plastic and terrible and like $800. |

Next time we go to summit, we are bringing the Panamera in addition to the 911. My wife may or may not race it, but it will be nice to be able to bring the canopy thing, and a couple of folding lawn chairs, as well as a cooler, snack, etc. so we can be comfortable in the paddock area. |

Need some advice...I want a Carrera S or 4S, has to be manual transmission, and I'd like to keep it under $100K This 2013 S is in Portland, striking distance (or delivery distance), has 27.5K miles and they're asking $82.9. Is that spoiler original to the car? Any known issues with this year group? I know it's not Gila Monster Green, but I'm okay with silver on black. Hate the sunroof... Any opinions would be appreciated! Dupont Registry ETA: car will be a sunny weather weekend warrior only. |
