Both the left and the right need to face one truth that has been staring us all in the face for time immemorial.  The average American voter is a moron who makes decisions based upon emotion and not ideas, facts, morality or policies. This truism has been amplified by social media and continues to be fodder for the regular media.  The winner of future federal elections will be whomever wins in the sphere of "likability" as it is defined by the average voter at that time.

While it is true that people in general are emotional and believe that there emotions need to be recognized in decision making - what they need to face up to is that society has been conditioned to become this way.

All my Libtard co-workers think I voted for Trump because I'm a gunowner.

The main reason I voted for Trump is that I like $2 a gallon gasoline.

I still have a vivid memory of $4 a gallon under half black and creepy joe.

Why do you think media is about manipulation and politicians are afraid to cut entitlements?  Every person should be required to work 30 days of retail @ 15 years old.

That statement isn't going to age well.  You seriously made an election decision based upon a few dollars out of your pocket versus freedom?  You are the problem.

I know of at least ten actual human beings that only voted for Biden because Trump is a "jerk" that is "racist".  They didn't even bother filling any of the rest of the ballot out because they didn't know anything about the other candidates and were too busy to be bothered with it.

In the spirit of the times lets do away with the 19th and instead of "land owners" just make it "net positive tax paying" individuals who are allowed to vote.

Fuck the masses of freeloaders voting themselves free shit and anyone who bases their life choices off of emotion instead of logic.

Well 71 million people voted for Trump, so there's that.

It isn't all doom and gloom.

We just have to love this country more than they hate it, and we will prevail.

The details will get worked out along the way.

And government runs most of the schools which do a shit job of teaching kids about universal truths. That is where our moron voters come from.

I would have no problem without this. At the very least, being on public assistance should disqualify one from voting.

The "winner" of future "elections" will be the state's choice not the "voters".

If this fraud is allowed to stand then those who next come into power will harden the system against any outsider ever to again be placed in front of the American voter.

Our system was never designed to work with universal suffrage. The Founders knew the history of Democracy. That's why they don't teach the classics in school anymore. Egalitarianism is a false God. That's the problem with the American Right, they double down on it.

Future elections will be a facade.  The marxists will fundamentally change our world - it might look reasonably the same (for now) - but it will be altogether different. There is only ONE party with a bunch of different names. The American experiment dies with this election...

Western civilization is in decline and doomed to ultimately fail. It is rotting from within for the very reasons you stated. Once it does natural law and order will be restored. The rot will be cleared, and perhaps in the distant future men will endeavor to try again without the mistakes made the first time around.

More than half of the people made the right choice.

This is despite the entirety of the corporate media pumping out propaganda to the contrary for five years.

The next step is to ensure they are not disenfranchised.

It's been dead for a while. A 2 party system is nothing but 1 party with controlled opposition. We were warned from the beginning of such. Why do you think the Overton window has shifted as far as it has in such a short amount of time? All by design.

It's been state choice for a while now. At this point, they are just not hiding it anymore.

Going straight into a Biden presidency would have been a tough sell after Obama. So they gave another democrat, an "outsider", a 4 year run who opened up a lot of new doors for the left. And now we are awaiting the rule by a far left president with an even further left vp, who will quickly assume president role. The balance of the Senate was also changed so that the next 2+ years will have no hangups.

I agree.

With the passage of the 17th and 19th amendments, elections became emotional popularity contests from easily influenced non-thinking voters.

This is the real truth.  American politics are stunningly stable.

All the bullshit we see now has happened before.

"There is no exclusive criminal class, save for congress"  mark twain.

Socialism/Marxism has also ebbed and flowed in this country.  The biggest hazard we face is the changing of the structure of our system, packing courts, adding states, opening borders.....that the real danger.

It has also been tried before. This is good news because we are still here and things like Trump can still happen.

All one needs to do to look for an example is to read about Huey P. Long in Louisiana, Machine politics in Chicago or Tammany Hall in NYC. None of this is new. It doesn't make it right, but our current predicament is certainly not novel.
