Yep, I was almost fooled. Made some trades for a Rolex 144060 and thought I got a pretty good deal. Until I started noticing little things. First, there was a little looseness to the bezel and I could feel the rotor when I moved my arm certain ways. That's odd. Checked the face, found the laser etching, all seemed ok. So I decided to take the bracelet off and verify the serial number matched what was engraved on the rehaut. Once I get the bracelet off, I see this. Wait a minute, this is a 114060 Submariner not a Submariner Date. Maybe a service case (reaching I know)? OK, let's check the serial number.  Ooof, nothing. Time to take the back off this thing and see what's up.  Nope, that ain't right at all. The area circled in green is the giveaway. Definitely not a Rolex. Movement is probably the clone model VR3130 based on the limited research I did. Be careful! |

There are factories turning out almost indistinguishable clones of certain models until you open the back. VSF has what they call NWBIG (not worth buying in genuine) GMTs, explorers and some datejust models. some of the V3 versions are tightening up on the internals too…. |

Not a fan of clones. However it does make me wonder if flooding the market with super clones will force Rolex to loosen up on the whole AD waitlist spiel..... Id probably only every buy through a AD just because of all the new super clones. |

It makes you wonder. I bought my 116610LN “gray” from DavidSW over ten years ago. It went to Rolex Dallas service center recently for service and came back after rebuild with a new warranty card so I can sleep sound now
