Spoiler Alert - this entire post is a spoiler. Amazon is having a sale on Star Trek "Strange New Worlds" so I started watching season three, episode one, which premiered last year. Near the end of the episode Captain Pike visits sickbay where his "girlfriend" Captain Marie Batel is recovering from surgery and they don't know if she will survive. Captain Pike kneels next to her bed and prays, "Our Father, who art in Heaven..." but is interrupted so does not finish the prayer. For years he has shown empathy for others. Now it is revealed he may have grown up as a Christian. I never thought I would see this on Star Trek.
