Hope I. Can get a few recommendations for a audio system for our church. 2000 sq ft. 4 mic's a mixer. And speakers. No update to the current system since the eighties. Also want to do Facebook and website broadcasts live. I used to know about such things. But I haven't been updated since the eighties either Thanks. |

| You should consider a line array set up like a pair of JBL eon one. I use them for small venues when my daughter plays out. 5 channel built in mixer and I can control everything in the mix at a distance on an ipad via bluetooth. Its a pretty nice setup. We’ve had it for a couple years. |

The most important consideration is something you can’t change-the building. What are you working with as far as size and layout? What kind of budget? Even a smallish church set up can blow through $10k pretty quick. Sweetwater might be the answer you’re looking for. |

You are going to have to also get some kind of license to broadcast and perform music on line. I know that CCLI licenses vary in price based the size of your weekly attendance. Ditto broadcast licenses. Ours are around $500.00 year. Churches are not exempt from copyright laws and that is a growing area of litigation. I’m not trying to be some know it all church guy but even the smallest simplistic place I’ve ever played in backwoods Idaho probably had at least 5 times your budget in audio. That stuff is a big investment. Mixers boards, computers, mics, stands, cables, power and routers along w/speakers are not inexpensive and you don’t want to go cheap…..cause cheap fails at the worst possible time or just sounds terrible-which destroys what you are trying to do and wastes your time. Big….and even moderate sized places now are dropping 6 figures on this stuff. |

I wanted to stay within your budget, but that meant staying with gear that could be very similar to what you already have. |
