El Baton by JC Newman (the first cigar by Newman NOT produced by Fuente, but Fuente is marketing them) All nicuaraguan (like most of my other favorites), and the small factory that makes it does not make any other cigars. This would be an instant favorite of mine even if it were ten bucks a stick, but at 5.50 a stick I've found a new everyday fave. It only comes in one size, a beautifully constructed Belicoso. Closest I can describe the taste is if a Hemingway and an Illusione had a baby, it burns razor clean and straight, and produces tons of incredible smoke. If you can find them I suggest you give them a try...I cannot say enough good things about them. Reg |

It sucked today, f_ckin LA smoking ban.
Bought an ISOM before going to dinner with my wife's family in Bevely Hills, intended to smoke the cigar after dinner when the woman yak. After dinner, went outside and proceed to light the cigar, a Cohiba Robusto, a BH cop came over and politely inform me that BH ban all outdoor smoking. I need to extinquish the cigar, which, I did after one last puff. 
Decide to go home and leave the woman yaking, so I can at least make up for the lost, wind up in a LA traffic jam for over a hour, because some f_ckhead Kalifornia driver do not know how to drive in the rain, our first rain of the season. I am home now, trying to mellow out with an Oliva O maduro, before I go to bed. Now I have to burn a God of Fire tomorrow to ask for his forgiveness for putting out an ISOM Cohiba way too early. |

Noon oliva O perfecto Tonight, not sure. Going w/ a Coronado gorda or a camacho triple maduro. paired w/ either oban or laphroiag cask strength something or other, never had it but looked interesting. Probably a couple guiness to wash it down as well. Might be a little sluggish in the am.

I want a hat. 
I wish they'd do their VIP thing they've had listed on their site forever. Three cigars and a hat for $25. Still says "Coming Soon", but I think they have a different idea of soon than mine.

& the big ass camacho At least head the sense not to crack the good stuff in that condition. |
