| I had a bottle of Booker's years ago that I remember liking and my now deceased father-in-law wound up drinking it while I was out of town. I usually look to see if it is around and for the first time in years I found a bottle of the 2024-2 batch so I grabbed it. In looking at reviews on YouTube pretty much the consensus is mixed but with more leaning towards it not being good. Kinda wondering what I am in for. Anyone else have it and try it yet? |

I've only tried a couple different batches, and not the one in question, so my experience is limited. However, I'd say that very few would call Bookers "not good". Is it worth $100+ ? That's the real question and why many shy away from it. Especially considering you can pick up a Knob Creek Single Barrel Select, that is nearly the same proof, and usually at least 2 years older, for half the price of Bookers. |

Beaten biscuits was the last I had that seemed worth the premium. I've had some really good bottles but they seem very inconsistent lately, I probably have bought my last. Thankfully found this one at a local shop collecting dust.

I have tried many batches and still have a couple. For me personally, you nailed it. I don't intend to buy them anymore because to me they just aren't worth the premium over Knob Creek 9 year single barrels that come in at 120 proof. In my area Booker's is usually around $125 and is easy to find on the shelves for the most part. But value is subjective to the individual. I certainly wouldn't knock someone that chased them if the flavor profile really appealed to their palate. In my case, it's probably just more of a case of the "Beam profile" not being my favorite. Have you tried it yet? What did you think? |
| I haven't tried it yeti had RSV bad after picking it up and the sore throat hasnt let up my taste buds have been jacked ever since. The Booker's was only $83 in my area. I also picked up a bottle of Baker's 7yr for $50 and finally found a bottle of Blanton's for $92. The store with the Blanton's also had a Russell's 15yr. I am thinking about going back picking that up and having a blind tasting. |
| I have 3 bottles I got at less than $100 each. All have been excellent. 2021-02, 2022-04 and 2023-03. Would I spend more than $100? Probably not but I prefer barrel proof offerings and they tend to cost more. Just finished a bottle of Stagg 23c, so maybe a bit of Booker’s to follow. |
