My apologies for the delays between updates. We have been hard at work on the new EE updates and a few other things! A Couple Items of Note: 1) NEW EE UPDATES - This is not the old new ee, this is basically a large upgrade to the system to move away from forums and into a more transactional classified engine. The nice thing is we are keeping the forum interface working too. The big difference is going to be the additional tools you'll get through the new interface. (Searching, filtering, display of items, etc.) I plan to share some long overdue screenshots when I find some time. The only big change will be how you list an item and no longer listing multiple items in a post. This is a 1:1 setup (quantities of course being ok), so you will have a single listing for a single product. Restrictions for listings, displays, etc will be different now as there will not be bumping of ads. You can still post/reply/etc within listings. The system will allow seller to set a BUY PRICE and if they ACCEPT OFFERS. No auctions! Seller will then have a system to accept/reject offers. BUYs will be first come like normal and no more relying on an IM/email. You offer to buy, it's yours. More on all this chaos as we get closer and release info! 2) NEW NEWSLETTER FORMAT - With everything going on in the world, we are going to be moving to a weekly newsletter. The newsletter will be ENTIRELY different than what it has been. In short, we plan to send out what we feel are a handful (4 or so) critical topics from the week, including trending topics on the site, 2A news, and even some of the crazier topics on arfcom that you shouldn't miss. The idea is to bring the site to you, since it's a constant stream of everything from news to fun. Think of it as a weekly roundup of not to miss topics! 3) MEMBERSHIP CHANGES - We are planning to open up more of the tools to everyone. This means we want to make the site experience better for everyone here. Since we are planning to improve life for all, that means we need to figure out some special things for team memberships. Our goal has always been that they be optional and be a way to support everything we are doing here for the community. As we ramp up more and more community projects, we want to bring some key tools to everyone, team membership or not. In order to keep membership awesome, we plan to revisit them and look at adding special member only items, discounts, and more. (Along with some key tools/benefits on the site!) OK so on to today's update includes: TEAM MEMBERS - Lowered the avatar file size a bit. We needed to scale down from the massive BW increase. - Membership downgrade will no longer clear your green arrows (post read history) so if you rejoin, they will be where you left them. - Links inside the Issue Tracker are buttons now to stand out. - Fixed an unhandled big with photo uploads. (Zombie errors.) EVERYONE - Homepage tweaked and will now displays trending topics (not newest or most popular, but what's trending) and show the latest deals posted to the deal page and fixed the IG feed. - Messenger tool now has ONLINE ARCHIVING. This means you can move messages from your folders into the archive and it will keep things clean. - Messenger limits have been increased for all users. - Post editor now shows Twitter embed button on mobile (mobile should be cleaner with button options.) - Store login on checkout page removed to keep it in the top corner. You can check out without logging in. - User Icons are back! - Bug fixed with VPN access. - Fixed and unhandled bug in archive topics. (Random zombie errors) - Fixed random unhandled bug in deals. (Again more zombies put down!) - Login page now has clickable password option to see your password in clear text. (Make sure if you are using public PCs, you LOG OUT!!!!) - Bug fix in messenger causing messages to not be sent randomly. - Fixed a random bug with Newest forum tool that was causing it not to load properly at times. (GD was impacted the most.) - Fixed bug with iPhones and post editor. - Created a new Sr Mod position! (For a few special mods!) - Cleaned up ads for non-team folks, added dark backgrounds to flow nicer. - Store captcha check tweaked to help fix random issue. - Archives restored. (Yes it happened between site updates, but first chance to officially post it!) - Archive Search restored! - Fixed bug with tweet embeds. Bunch of small stuff went in, some graphic updates, colors, etc. that may not be mentioned above. We also have been working on servers and made a number of changes to the back end system. Making sure stability and speed are our top priority still. Most of that work is not mentioned above. |

A few quick shots of the upcoming EE changes... This is new interface, not the forum view. Just sharing a standard listing and then 2 views of the category/filtered results views. (Standard stacked or boxed views.) Nothing too amazing, but everyone will have image uploading and common tools to ensure easy universal usage. Additionally, rules will be put in place to manage some of what the staff does now and make their lives easier. Ability to suspend/restore ads, manage, etc will be simpler. Search/filter/find will be easier. In short, upgraded for user, admin, and companies who sell through the EE.

Looks awesome. I don’t think we have a first to claim it (dibs) rule though so might have to tweak that a little where the seller still has to accept it. Maybe you can set it to auto expire after X (12 hours? Or other not insignificant number) if not accepted? |

Most of us evaluate a potential buyer when we get an offer from them. Are they a brand new member who registered that day? Or registered months ago but only have two posts? Or somebody with a pile of negative feedback? Or after you reach out to them to see if you can finalize the deal, responds in broken English, indicating no knowledge of the product or firearms in general? Or asks you to ship overseas? Or to a ban state? Or offers some sketchy form of payment? I wouldn't list anything here if I cannot evaluate the buyer before accepting their offer. It shouldn't be "buy now." It should be softer than that...especially given the challenge of payment processing for many types of items sold here. |

EE changes are excellent. Understanding we can't force feedback, is there anyway to encourage feedback from both buyers and sellers? And. why don't we require at least 1 photo? Taking 2 minutes and not being lazy should be a requirement to post in the EE. Thank you good sir. |

There has to be a better way to sort the contents of the media server even having a reverse sort of oldest first would be useful |
