I like plenty of pistols...but it's hard to argue with the reliability and maintenance of a Glock. Why, in the world of super reliable and proven platforms, did the military choose an unproven, rushed design...If someone didn't make money off of this, I'll be pissed. |

| Some of us are old enough to remember that they M9 had some catastrophic failures in its early days, which gave it a really rough start and a poor reputation to overcome (and that was before the days of the internet). They eventually fixed the issue and it became a reliable pistol with a fairly solid reputation. I'm not sure if that's possible this time. |

For those familiar with the 320 design could I be fixed with redesigned parts in the form of a recall or is it more fundamental in the design? If the failure is rooted in the design then I see a new competition and pistol chosen. This opens the door for the RXM. |

Smith and Wessons Military and Police line are tried and true. More options stock, that fit the requirements, than say an almost equal competitor in Glock. Full ambi, adjustable grips, with or without thumb safety..etc. If Trump prevails with waste spending cuts, and sees the need, American innovation and production will see a replacement handgun that works in a rikki tik fashion. Or we continue to move at the speed of Green Weenie, and we sit on Sig, throwing .mil dollars at an easily replaced handgun. |
