Hadn’t had it out for a couple years, upgraded to a laser projector and moved it to the back behind the screen. Skytrack+ Optima ultra short throw projector 8x8 screen from Carls Place My garage is marginal but the rest of the house has too low ceilings. Have to move it a bit to hit woods. If I could change it I would have done 10x8 and I want to change my garage door opener to a side lift instead of center. With the 8x8 best you can do is 4:3 res so you can’t fill the whole screen. But better than not hitting over the winter. The mat I bought years ago and the carpet is just Home Depot remnants. Attached File |

Questions... how far away from the screen is the projector? -used an ultra short throw so it’s about 2 feet behind it. Sits on the floor. Previously used a short throw that was mounted from the ceiling for front projection. Because of a beam in the garage that may hinder a full swing moving the enclosure up to the beam wasn’t an issue but would have been with the old projector. How tall are your ceilings? A little over 9 feet. Feedback: that is awesome to be able to swing all winter. But what about the car? - outside when hitting but I can pull the car into the garage. The enclosure is a little over 8’ wide so the front of the car goes in ok. The sides are 4’ so doesn’t block the car door. If it’s wet I will pick up the mat and carpet. I might have to slide the enclosure back a foot but marking everything with tape so should take only a few minutes to realign if moved. |
