This place looks like they got a better selection than Cabela's and Bass pro.![]() SCHEELS, my first time! I Could've spent 100k! |
Ours recently opened so they haven't been totally run through yet, but their reloading section is pretty nice. Probably over 100k of various primers, and decent selection of powder including shooters world stuff. Large selection of rifles and shotguns on the racks that can be handled, and pistols are locked up but can be handled as well. Tons of brands throughout including high end stuff across the store for men, women, and kids. Having worked at cabelas, I was impressed with the selection at Scheels but the prices are definitely up there on a lot of things. |

Quoted: Scheels is infinitely better than Bass Pro/Cabelas. Agreed big time. Over time I’ve realized Cabelas and Ass Pro have absolutely no experience required to work their gun counter. Which means their pay is shit, which explains why their employees are also insufferable. |
Quoted: They match advertised sale prices. Their buildings have crosses facing the sky. https://rleco.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/ScheelsFargo.jpg Just looked at an aerial map of my local one.. cool! I need to check out some guns there. |
Quoted: No Scheels here, I’ll go to Cabelas or Sportsman’s Warehouse. None here either, but they deliver Dillon. IDK how Scheels does it, but that 750 was almost 100 bucks cheaper than anywhere. Attached File |
They also sell these things. I have not bought one from them but they had this one in stock when I was looking for a while and the price was actually the lowest price I've seen on it. Attached File |
| I've been a fan of Scheels since 2004. Especially nice is the part where my wife loves going there too. We can make a date night out of it. We go to Scheels, she looks at shoes and leggings and backpacks, I look at guns and all stuff related, we buy stuff then go eat somewhere nearby. |

It's actually an hour closer for me to drive to the one in Missoula than Boise |

Have had scheels my whole life being from the Dakotas. They dont try and push their own brand over quality gear like cabelas and bass pro. Also pretty much a no questions asked return policy. Have warrantied variety of items without issue. Do a good job at product selection. Think LaRue just got picked up by them. |
Quoted: Christian owned, decent pricing, black rifle friendly, huge selection of both ammo and guns, price matching, seemingly knowledgeable employees, I could go on and on but it's far and away the best large scale outdoor store in Texas. |

Scheels is an awesome store. I had the pleasure of doing some work on the Sparks building during construction back in the day. It impressed me that Scheels self finances their builds, so while their growth seems slow, its the definition of sustainable. The Sparks store has some super knowledgeable folks, and those that may not know something will find the answer. I used to think their prices were high, but they really are pretty well in line. The fact that I can walk into a store and buy specialized brands like Stone Glacier, Marsupial, FHF, Dillon, Silencerco, etc is really a cool feature. One year, my wife and I did all of out Christmas shopping at Scheels in one evening, and didn't compromise on what we bought, the selection is just that wide. |
Quoted: Scheels is the shit. I go to the one in Dallas every once in a while but it's 3 hours away. They're building on in Cedar Park that will only be 45 minutes away. Can't wait. I worked just minutes away from the one in The Colony/Dallas for years and only recently visited. They truly are something special. High-priced perhaps, but worth it for the service and selection alone. |
Quoted: Scheels is everything bass pro wants to be when it grows up. Including the fucking ferris wheel. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/media/SiouxFalls/USATODAY/2014/04/08/1396966700000-scheels4.JPG Don't like the wheel. Toooooo high. |
