I wasn't going to post this, but here go's Some of you may remember me posting years past, about seeing a formation of "Orbs" back in 2014. There is no explanation for what I saw. Most pass it off as flares from a fighter, or man made drones. I guarantee they are not, and they defy the laws of known physics. I haven't seen any for a good 4-5 years, though I am always looking. Last night I was on my porch, enjoying the evening. Daylight was fading, but still light enough to call it daytime. All the sudden this light(Orb) appeared out of thin air, and started moving from my left to right across the sky. It then disappeared. Only to reappear, where it went straight up, then stopped for just a second or two. Then shot rapidly downwards disappearing again just before the treeline. I am 100% confident that it is the same type of craft, I have seen in the past. My phone was charging so couldn't get a pic. It all happened within 30secs, start to finish. I believe you. Log date, time, location, duration, anything else. If you want, you can report to Mufon. You can also look at ADSB and see if there were aircraft in the area. Also, I see you are Idaho. I know of a few guys with flying cars there that with a sun glint would look like that flight path, no joke. Thanks for sharing the story! There's a crapload that could happen in the sky, like F-15s shooting Lasers at Tie Fighters and most of the US wouldn't notice or if they did they'd assume "some effect for an air show" and just ignore it. Too many people looking at their screen, then they're driving on they 're looking at/for cars in between glancing mostly at the podcast they like to follow while edging forward. Everybody else is doing this and so these things are just unknown to us, though we've seen them and written them off. It takes events like the OP has seen to Truly understand this is not our current technology. It's like watching a guy do a 25 ft basketball layup. If it was noticed the news would just say either it didn't happen or the height is greatly exaggerated. Never tell the people the actual story. All we have are anecdotes? Too many people have seen these things, most are "orbs" or silver spheres that are very reflective or have lighting and flying in ways a drone or system relying on aerodynamics to stay in the air and laws of momentum are being broken. We ask what is up, we're stonewalled, then lied to then 50 years later they share the modified story of the event, well, 70 years later and they're still trying to downplay that as the alien part rather than technology part, since the US did not have one before that event and sightings weren't as frequency though they date back heavily to the 1800s and then due to less people writing, entire histories mention the lights in the sky and we have been through this before.... Maybe the "drop off" after bombing Japan was like a challenge beaten reward that needs to get into your game inventory somehow. The oldest known archaeological site is 3 in Kenya, with artifacts dating back 3.3 million years. Discovered in 2011, this site contains stone tools that predate the genus Homo by 500,000 years, suggesting that Australopithecus or Kenyanthropus were capable of tool use. TL;DR Thanks for sharing and those who haven't seen something that makes them question the fundamentals of reality, LOOK UP MORE OFTEN. |

I saw my first one Saturday night as well. We're vacationing at the outer banks and I was sitting out on the deck watching satellites and shooting stars with my nods. Bright large dot crossed from the ocean overhead heading inland incredibly fast. Like gone in a half second horizon to horizon. It definitely was not a shooting star because it was not following a straight line, it was turning. It also was 90 degrees travel from the rest of the shooting starts we'd been seeing. Additionally it was NOT visible to anyone else on the deck, despite being incredibly bright under nods. |

My "close encounter" happened decades ago. I've posted this a few times on arfcom before, but here goes again: I was a member of a hunting party from Dallas in Oct., 1984 (or 1985), with a paid lease in the area of Rifle Co. This was a week after the blizzard blew in during a Broncos home game and there was still several inches of snow on the ground. Our lease was several miles north of Rifle, 10 miles off a paved road and on the backside of a mountain. The day before opening day, our party of 9 decided which of the 3 (or 4) narrow canyons we would hunt. My buddy and I chose the farthest canyon on the left. These canyons were very narrow and only wide enough to turn around in with a several point turn. My buddy was driving his 1978 Jeep Wagoneer with all four hubs locked and chains secured with bailing wire. Again, snow was fairly deep. Opening morning, well before daylight, we slowly made our way about 250 yds up our canyon and sat waiting for sun up. Buddy would run the heater a few times to warm us up. We had talked ourselves out and sat in silence, facing up the canyon and waiting for some daylight. Buddy looked in his mirrors and said "shit, somebody's coming up our canyon". I turned to look back through the slightly fogged rear windows to see a headlght(s) slowly circling the base of the canyon. I remember thinking it resembled a dog sniffing around, then, the light(s) slowly made it's way up. I knew they could see the reflectors from the Jeep and knew we were up ahead, but they slowly came on. I was beginning to think they were a member our party and there was some sort of emergency. They(it) pulled right up to our rear bumper with their extremely bright light(s) on high-beam, which I thought rude at the time. They shut the light off and we got out and went back to see what's up. THERE WAS NOBODY, NOTHING THERE, NO TRACKS IN THE SNOW BUT OUR'S. By now, with some moonlight reflecting off snow and a little glow over the ridge, it was bright enough to see to the base of the canyon. Again, NOTHING. We got back in the Wagoneer, locked the doors, loaded our magazines and waited for sun-up. Buddy was near panic and breathing hard, I was merely confused and stupified. I've been asked how I would classify the phenomenon. Whatever it was apparently didn't touch the ground, as there were no tracks or melted/disturbed snow, so, UFO? |

Agree with above Until you see it! And experience it? It's just a drone, or flares from a fighter! I also had someone say it was those sky lanterns, people let loose. These things, defy all laws of physics. Great speed! Unreal directional change at speed. Completely disappearing? Then reappearing. Like legit here, then not here. |

I think that kind of is what lets you know. You see satellites and launches and stuff like hat. Some of these orbs are beyond seeing, they're an experience where what you think would be next isn't and Even expecting insane speeds you go "Whoah! That's Fast" Easiest way for somebody to tell if they saw high strangeness or not. Did they feel it? Like mind suddenly a bit calm and you think you should look up and when you do you are suddenly staring directly at something you've only seen in drawings or computer rendering and never really thought all of those could have been real. It's so strange that you know everybody will give you shit if you share because there isn't vocabulary for some of it and you just stumble over your brain trying to find words, beyond just edges and lines and stuff, like watching a magic show or something. |

| What I saw looked about like if you put a radio tower with 4 levels of red lights horizontal and then suspended it from a balloon. However, I couldn't see any structure, just the red lights. They moved like they were on a linear tower like structure or beam and descended from a low cloud deck at night that was illuminated by lights from a nearby city. |

About a month ago now. Was sitting on the back porch at night enjoying a cigar and watching YouTube videos. Spotted a bright green flash to my left and turned to look at it. Initially thought it was something reflecting off the bifocal but this bright lime green softball sized orb was still there and moving at the speed of a slow jog at about a meter off the ground. As it was going my left to right (east to west), was still thinking it was a light on my glasses thing but it disappeared behind the telephone pole to reappear on the other side as when it passed the water well. Unique was when it passed behind the bushes at that burn pile, it illuminated the leaves and was visible at the gaps between the bushes. It continued westbound until it disappeared into the dark. No sound. None of the barn cats were up to notice if they reacted. |
