Aim Surplus has all new Sigs on sale for 10% off - Sig usually doesn't let retailers run sales, MAP is life, MAP is god. They must be feeling the burn from this shitshow now. ETA - Brownells now too. I'm sure the retailers are happy for a chance to offload the inventory. |

That's generally seen as a chickenshit move, especially if it isn't a long clip (generally under 10 seconds) and it's not just a re-upload without editing. |
Pawn shop local to me had a handful of used 320s ranging in price from $550 all the way up to $969 depending on which model.  They must be living under a rock. I went in hoping to see one for under $200 to piss around with and see if I can get it to go off. Those will sit there for years and years at those prices. |

There's no video and at the time it happened the allegations of P320s going off on their own were much less widespread, so he ate the NJP, but I can't say for certain whether the gun went off on its own. I would however be contacting the BCNR if I were him. |

FWIW I also know of a Marine who was NJP'd for Delta 8 use but it was under Article 112a and Delta 8 wasn't added to the list of controlled substances until a month or so after his NJP. He was able to get that taken off his record and his rank restored after he had been separated because he wasn't NJP'd for an Art 92. |

Ian.  A Thoughtful & Nuanced Take on SIG's P320 Nightmare Does not address the punch test. Calls out the "$30/gun" MIM quote by the supposed SIG insider - though I think the theory is that SIG is saving $30/gun by using MIM for all the MIM'd parts, not just the striker safety - which Ian points out, is rather clearly designed to be stamped, and cheaper to stamp than MIM. Speculates that if there was a problem, SIG has likely fixed the issue on new production guns quietly, and is attempting to fix as many police (and possibly .mil) guns w/ in spec replacement parts as possible on the down low to avoid American lawsuit liability. Admits SIG has given him free guns in the past and is getting ready to use SIGs in competition that were given to him by SIG. |

P226 mags, like essentially all mags designed before the 90s, are too narrow for .40 S&W to have a true double stack and .40 was the hot caliber at the time. Same reason Beretta didn't use 92 or Cougar mags for the PX4 and APX, Smith didn't use 3rd gen Smith mags for the M&P, FN didn't use Hi Power mags for their 9mm pistols, CZ didn't use 75 mags for the P-07, etc. Glock is pretty much the only company that didn't have to go to new frames and mags, and that's because their plastic covered mags are so huge that you can fit a steel double stack .45 mag in a 9mm Glock frame. |
