There's an entire series of Feynman lectures on YouTube. I've watched many of them. Everyone here should watch them. As many as you can. And other scientists as well. Then come back here, and we'll discuss the nature of reality with the grounding of knowledge accumulated over the gulf of time. Or, ignore all of it, and remain willfully ignorant. |

I've been through all of them and actually read his papers in college as requirement in electrical engineering. It's pretty crazy but in the big theories such as Maxwell and others at a "grand unified theory", time is sort of irrelevant. It's needed for speeds but when those are expanded to base units they cancel out in the bigger picture and it gets into "mathematician space" which I've mentioned before, that level of math makes engineering meth look , subtraction and multiplication.  As far as discussing reality after digesting a couple semesters of Feynman lectures and tests and notes, well, we couldn't, we would all just say "Nah, we're in a simulation anyway" and go back to arguing about pixels in an image instead.  |

Just tried to watch a couple more Feynman vids. Apparently the California Institute of Technology has hit YouTube with copyright claims, and they've been pulled. Because of course knowledge has to be monetized in every fashion possible. Nothing can be allowed to be disseminated for free. As I said in another thread, "There's always a book."

There will be video series 6 to 15 years old that have been mostly dormant on YouTube, then when they are linked here, many are pulled from youtube within a month. Perhaps a search engine sees the link in a thread and makes it a suggestion to anybody searching for fringe topics and they land on a thread with a video link which they pick instead of reading the thread or something. < /shrug > (Where did system shrug animated smiley go to?) |

It's definitely possible. The algorithms are insidious. It might not just be us, but we're likely part of it. |
