When myGrandfather passed away in 1998, one of the items that I received from my mother was an old "Seth Thomas" pocket watch. However, as the images below show, there is some damage to the face and the dial appears to be locked up when you attempt to turn it clockwise. I have always loved clocks and watches, but have never really had the time to learn as much about time pieces as I would like. That said, I would like to look into getting the watch potentially restored, or at least fixed, in memory of my grandfather, and to pass on to my children. I know the face will probably have to be replaced, but not sure what else may need to be done. It will probably cost more than the money value of the watch, but that is okay. The sentimental value is much greater. Having read many of the watch threads, I know that there is a tremendous amount of knowledge from many of you. Any help, suggestions, recommendations, insights, or advice that you all could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |
