Well, that's one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Guess they couldn't have him near the top. Tried to kill his momentum any way possible. I am glad to see him sticking up for himself. He can sleep well knowing he tried to talk some sense into those idiots. Didn't let them back door him without a fight. |
| Yeah. I think a big issue is certain people speaking for the institutions, Faldo, Chamblee, et al, crap all over the guy leading up to the tournament, and then this happens...an hour and a half after the shot...it's just a terrible look. |

The ball has been identified by this point and you are now only allowed to step in to take a reasonable stance. You are not allowed to gorilla stomp the knee high grass behind your ball that would affect your backswing. It’s no different than snapping a branch off a tree that’s in your way. The R&A gave him a pass by calling it unintentional. He got caught cheating. Fuck him.  A look at the shot from Bryson DeChambeau that is currently under review for a 2-stroke penalty ?? |

This is the issue I have with golf tournaments making a ruling after the fact. How many players were in the Open this year? 168 ? They don't have 168 cameras on course watching every single shot from every single player. If there was a rules official with his group, then I think they should penalize the rule official for not making a ruling at the time it occured and having someone in a instant replay booth deciding 2 hours later that it was a penalty. Cameras were used to convict Bryson after the fact. The same cameras were not used to locate the vicinity of Brysons lost ball. The same cameras were used to declare Scottie was in the temporary obstruction, they literally came in and cut Scottie off so he would not search and get a penalty. If his ball had ricochet OB where would we be? The rules are shit, not applied equally and the camera bull shit is old |
