Hi. I'm not a watch guy. I don't even wear one except at work. My trusty old Casio finally bit the dust and the wife convinced me to try a smart watch. I got myself a galaxy watch 6 and it seems pretty cool, except I hate metal watch bands and elastic/rubbery bands. I used a strap with my Casio like the pic below, I think its called a french paratroop style? Anyways, my smart watch has some fancy health and biometric features that I like, and it looks like there's a sensor on the bottom of the watch that contacts your wrist. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the french paratroop style strap would cover that sensor, no? My question is, are there any french paratroop style straps that will work with a smart watch? I could live with the rubbery strap if it had that style clasp, but ideally, I'd want a mesh/canvas strap with the hook type clasp. I've tried google but I'm probably using the wrong keywords. I think there are companies that make what are called "zero pass" straps. They have the same material and buckle/keeper as the paratroop style strap you posted. However they are designed to be installed in a manner as to not have the cloth piece against the case back. Does the galaxy 6 take regular watch straps/i.e. have spring bars? If so it can probably accommodate one of those. Eta: It looks like the galaxy 6 does take 20mm standard watch straps. I have no affiliation or have ever used this company so I'm not sure if they are g2g but im thinking this is essentially what you are looking for: Something like this Please double check me, as I have not thoroughly done much research on the issue outside of the last 5-10 minutes. |
