The GD post "I ask again, if you’re not out shooting with a shot timer, why not?" has me wondering. I know when I was in shot timers were not used in my training, but that was almost 40 years ago. Are shot timers used in training in the military? And is so for which type of training did they get used? Just wondering. |
| They are around in some of the more specialized units, and some of us bring our own. But most standard units get herded like cattle to the range where they get a handful of rounds to group and zero, then another handful to qualify, and then put away their weapons for the next 6 months. |
