Had a piece of core left over from a bowl. Decided to make a hollow form my way. No finish yet. Just Ack's sanding paste. Top made from IPE and finished with friction polish. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Attached File Key hook boards made from cherry with walnut dog print inlays. No CNC work here, inlays were cut by hand using a router and template. I still need to mount hooks, cut the keyhole slots in the back to mount it on the wall, and finish. These will be perfect for key, leashes and/or collars, or what ever... |

 I just purchased a truck full of Argentinian hardwood for $900 but am not familiar with the species: Zoita, Guatambu, Castello Boxwood, San Domingo Boxwood, and Loro Negro. I doubt it even cost me $3/BDE FT. From my limited research, a lot of this stuff is great for turning. Is it time I buy a lathe? Any input on these particular species would be appreciated as I’m only familiar and have worked with more common varieties like walnut, maple, cherry etc. |

My stuff’s not at the level of you guys but I did bang out more charcuterie boards for some of my soldiers.  I also got another pile of lumber for $2.50 a board foot. I’m going to need to figure out a few easier projects to use up some of the thicker stuff as my portable bandsaw struggles to resaw anything hard
