Asking what professional barbers use for their tool kit storage? My son is going into barber school and needs a quality case for his tools. Looked at https://gandbpro.com/collections/full-size Any help is appreciated. |

Plastic box with a lid is where I would start. Add smaller shoe size boxes - 2. or 3 that fit inside it. I have a leather case for shears (sizzors) but electric clippers, electric trimmers and additional blades or guards are best organized in plastic boxes. - why - because you have to be able to clean them with Barbicide + So the storage containers are almost always plastic. The fishing tackle plastic lure boxes large enough to hold clean combs are ideal for combs. Brushes flat top combs etc you guessed it another plastic box. Best to start with the expensive Oster brand electric clippers with detachable blades. Add these blades 1 1/2, 2, 3 1/2 Cutting with Wahl clipper and guards just teaches people how to cut their own hair. |

This would be a good and legit case for a small tool box with 3-4 drawers, maybe one or two of those Lowes, or Harbor freight Minis that were all the rage a few months ago. If you get one, I'd get a roll of that tool box liner to cover each drawers bottom with, so they aren't so clanky and it looks better. Also, on the bottom of each panel (Drawers and Box), I'd stick on a silver dollar or bigger slice of sound deadening material like Dynamat or one of the other better brands for vehicles panel deadening. It'll give the box a bit more weight and really quieten down the tinniness. |
