50 views. I figured at least 2 or 3 people would poopoo it, maybe the same amount would appreciate it. I'm on the fence. I have always liked the Predator character in all the Predator or Alien/Predator movies I've seen. Mostly, I like his SciFi gear (weapons, armor, electronics, Med kits, etc) This one, I had high hopes for when I heard about it, but then he looks kinda CGI-ish with a touch of downs. I dunno, something off. Maybe they tried to make him look too human shaped? I dunno. Still might be a bad ass. I'll watch it and decide further. |

All five people will enjoy it. I would like to see them do a prequel trilogy to the Arnold film. Good story, good actors, good director. How hard is it Hollywood? |

If there was a franchise within the last 50yrs that was popular and Hollywood hasn't ruined it yet... give it time, they just haven't gotten to it yet. As pointless as the prequel to The Thing, unfortunately. We know how it ends going in and it's not going to do anything new without retconning things to make them worse. Problem is what they'd need to do for Predator 3 they just couldn't manage, because John McTiernan isn't around in Hollywood to make it. And it's not 1992. There's Predator and Predator 2. Everything else is varying degrees of terrible. There are original characters and stories still to be written and filmed, they just suck at it because millions dumped into films and marketing need to make money, and recognizable names turned from good movies into "franchises" gets them a good chance of financial return. Which is sad. |
