For all intents and purposes, a donkey should've been able to walk through the North Hollywood Bank Robbery shootout unscathed, at least by police rounds. Know your target. Know what's behind your target. Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot. If the officer adhered to this and shot a donkey he was wrong. If he didn't adhere and shot a donkey he was wrong. There's zero scenario in which a baby donkey is a viable threat. Either the cop is incompetent at his job and should be fired/prosecuted or maliciously killed the animal and should be fired/prosecuted. It's one or the other. |

Why is the video not released? It's amazing how quickly they get released when it shows officers are completely justified. Allowing PDs to be in control of their own records was a huge mistake. Around these parts the donkey would have been the least of their worries. I will not search a farmer's field after without first reaching out to them to let them know what is happening. Frankly, I don't blame them for not wanting it, but we have seen too many openly commit crimes / planting evidence right on camera.
