Yes. Small agency extremely rural area. My life is trying to get money for new in car cameras and new radios because we're using discontinued models Last chief went back to her first agency as a simple road troop responsible for just herself. She's happier every time I see her. It's disgusting. |

In small departments it is a cruel and heartless trench. Nobody wants to fund you. Nobody wants to work for you. Everybody expects Tier One performance. In large departments there is the same level of fear and loathing. You get pretty decent funding but it's always under attack. Everyone wants a job but they won't or can't actually do it right now, maybe later. Tier One performance is more of a bit of guerilla theatre on the side of the road from time to time. You wake up every day knowing that this could possibly be the worst day of your career. |
