I was talking with an old, old Marine MP vet, and he mentioned having a room of model planes that he might want to sell so his kids don't have to deal with them when he passes. Are there any places I can suggest he use to sell them? ... no, don't have any pics right now, or an inventory |

Maybe a library or museum might want them? Sorta depends on the presentation and what they are. Or a VFW for that matter, some I have been in had little displays of various types. |

I recall seeing a table now & again with planes for sale at gunshows. I never paid much attention. I'll see if I can get some pictures so we'll know what I'm talking about. I think they're all built. Dude is in his 80s, so some of them might be older. Thanks. |

I’m constantly thinking about this with my model stash. Built kits will probably get donated to a high school or college ROTC program, VFW or a museum. Not bragging, but some are exceptional builds and very expensive kits. I just hate to see them tossed in a dumpster down the street. Nicely built models do sell, but they have to be nice and the seller needs to spend a lot of time building safe shipping boxes. I’d try a local sale first using Craig’s List or FBMP. You can spend a day or two building a safe shipping box and then shipping costs for bigger models will be extremely high. |

RC Groups has a classified section that is very active, I have bought there several times. There is no cost to list or sell unlike FleaBay. It is the shipping that is costly and a pain, especially if they are fully assembled models. RCGroups |
