Putts nice now that the icky steel shaft and crappy triangle rubber grip are gone. Heavy, low torque graphite fuji shaft and oversized grip made a nice long "mini belly" putter. I don't have to hunch over and loose my line anymore  I even built a "revealer" to test where I could and could not add weight. Verified it was still balanced after completing. I don't know why it is working but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. Don't know how many hours I practiced putting on an aluminum yardstick, only to get handsy and yip shank for a three putt when the pressure was on and it really mattered. At least now I just armlock it tight together and move the shoulders, if I miss it was a bad line or speed. I was desperate

I'm curious about tinkering more with my 2.1 and evaluating if it's still got the FBM afterwards... @Wineraner I just drilled some large round holes in the corners of some scrap ply to use as the top and bottom, with pvc pipe through the holes to create the "legs" or sides that separate the top and bottom. I put felt fabric on a notch cut out of the bottom piece, and a fishing swivel centered in the top piece with a small lag thread eye bolt that threads into the grip hole to suspend the putter frictionless. Hope that makes sense, I don't have a team membership right now otherwise I would post pictures. |

I took the Press II 3° off mine---just too damn big---and replaced with their Pistol 2°. Checked the weights beforehand, added some lead tape under the grip on all four sides to make up the difference, and went with it. Works well, but I'm curious how it'll do now. (Beats the $100 send it in and rebalance fee...) For the rest of you, if you've problems rolling straight putts, give LAB a try. But you'll probably need to be fitted. Great stuff. |
