I bought a used Talon weekend before last. I'd looked at an atv and not followed through for about a year. My wife finally said "Just go buy one!" I think she's afraid I'd die of old age before actually buying one. ha ha Anyway I saw a used two seater Talon by the side of the road. It was in really good shape so I just paid asking price and had it taken by flatbed to the Honda Shop. It has walker Evans shocks and I have the oem fox. I had lights and mirrors added by the shop to make it street legal. I also had a windshield put on and had the fluids changed. I haven't bought a trailer. I might just rent a u haul for now. I have to trailer it to the dmv for inspection. The clerks at the dmv do the inspection, not the shop. I think I can get off road back and forth across surface streets for now. I figure I need a spare wheel and mount. Not sure about a winch. I guess I need one. I'm going to get a flat kit and an air pump. I have a mini Starlink that I might mount on the roof. I need some navigation eventually and there's limited cel service. But really it's hard to get lost in the desert around here. I'm going to get one of the racks that lets you mount Milwaukee coolers and tool boxes on the little back shelf. I took the family out in a RZR once and we've been out with my nephew who's a god damned Luke Duke in an ATV. The kids get bored pretty quick so I bought a two seater. |
