Not sure how folks do the topo, first few times laying lines did not go well. I finally got it taped off proper. Well, proper-ish, after the Cerakote Armorer's black base flash. The lines wrap around the firearms completely. Not a left side, right side, layout. Lines carry from one side to the other, traveling underneath without breaking up. Gonna leave the top rail black. I do this on lots of builds, Helps tie in the furniture once those are coated also. Attached File |

I'd have one on all my AR's if I could. On 1x it's similar to an EOTech and easier to pickup than the horseshoe. The glass is nice. Built like a tank. The power fin works great and is very smooth. The turret adjustment feel is good. Everything about it is nice. I have zero complaints or issues. It fits my application and requirements perfectly. I do prefer my green one because I like green  and has a 1400 hour battery life compared to 700 for the red. But I rarely ever use the illumination so it's moot. The illumination is not daylight bright which they changed on the 1-8x. But again in the sun I'm not running illumination so doesn't matter to me. The red illumination does do better at noon sun than the green. But at dusk and dawn the green really pops. Edit: My green one is sitting on a Freedom 15 lower with 16" Criterion barrel...

Much better than a horseshoe design (always felt it gets in my way), hard to get away from these days though. Is the only difference between the VCOG and the Accupower, illumination? Have you handled the Nightforce NX8, thoughts? I've been looking at those also. |

The VCOG has a forged scope body with integrated mount. The VCOG was designed for combat conditions. The thought was to possibly replace the ACOG with VCOG due to the evolving combat requirements from what I've read. The internals are different from the Accupower as far as I can tell from the specs. IDK for sure. The Accupower supposes has better illumination brightness than the 1-6 VCOG but probably the same on the 1-8 VCOG. I think Trijicon updated the design on the VCOG 1-8 based on what they learned from the Accupower. Never handled a NX8. They seem nice but I don't care for the reticle so never looked into them. Seems like a solid choice. Edit: I just checked it looks like Trijicon discontinued the Accupower or renamed it to the Credo??? |

From the Space series of PSA lowers, I haven't built anything really "over the top different", since the SPACEFORCE-15. The SPACECANNON-10 and SPACEROVER-15 are mostly parts modified from other manufacturers. Both more practical than the SPACEFORCE-15 (other than all the polished aluminum on the AR10, I love shooting the Rover build though) But all are tied together in the PSA them and include the USSF flag. I made pretty much everything but the barrel, gas block, and internal guts, for the SPACEFORCE-15. This next project I want to make something just as unique. The lowers I have available from the series are: SPACERIDER-15 SPACEWALKER-15 SPACEPIRATE-15 I'm not a huge fan of the Rider (haven't figured out a good design idea yet) Sort of wanting to hold off on the pirate design for a separate project. So that leaves me with the walker Lower. I know Fallout had some sort of reference to "Space Walk" from reading about the game (never actually played it). Just curious about the viability of using the SPACEWALKER lower for a Fallout style weapon. Looking for game firearm input, logos, Icons, colors, reference material, good guys, bad guys, or teams info. Or maybe point me in the right direction to read up on things. I would appreciate suggestions, totally good with thinking outside of the box. |

The stripped lower I ordered a few weeks ago arrived in one week, but I probably shouldn't expect them to get this pistol to me any time soon. Oh well. After waiting this long just to order one, what's a few more months? |
