For years I've been using a pop up hunting blind that has a roof window and it works perfectly! It allows the smoke up and out without creating a hot box of smoke and no need for exhaust also allowing me to stay dry if there's any rain or snow and with a small electric heater I'm not freezing my ass off. Here is my issue and where I am in need some suggestions, the blind I've been using is not going to make it much longer and it is discontinued , I cannot find it or anything compared to it. I've seen custom made units ( permanent) with exhaust systems that would be cool but won't work for me. Ive seen plenty of blinds but, nothing with a roof window., I've also seen some ice fishing tents that have small vents but not enough for the smoke to escape. Any suggestions for a tent or preferably a pop up hunting blind approximately 60x60x65 that is portable with a venting zipper ROOF window. The closest match I found is primal breeze treestands warm weather blind The blind I'm using now is made by Yescom and offers a large zippered roof window. Mods, if this is not in the appropriate forum, please move. |

Found one, exactly what I was looking for. Works great, top of the tent has a window that opens, the smoke goes up and out, no hot boxing… My little ceramic heater keeping the inside nice and toasty! Late to the thread, but this insulated ice fishing tent for $160 is what I've arrived on. Roomy enough for two people - or in my case one person and an 80 pound lab.
