Who is going this year? I usually go with some friends every year. They are getting older now and one has cancer in his back. He is still in good shape but I fear this is the last year for him. Anyway, I plan on taking lots of pictures this year. I might even make a thread about the trip. We are usually there at the beginning of the week and stay until after the night time air show. |

We'll be there again this year. We decided to do the Chapter camping, and are now just waiting on our assigned spots. It will be nice to stay on the grounds and not have to drive in and out each day. Getting in and out is easy, but at the end of the day, when you're beat, you just want to take it easy. |

To keep it easy, I'd stick to the big things, such as Boeing Plaza, and the Warbirds area. After you spend some time there, you can venture out to the Experimental areas. I believe at 7:00 AM, there is the balloon ascension, and then at 8:00 the powered parachutes take over. From 9:00 until about 10:00, the ultralights take flight. They repeat at around 7:00 PM(check the schedule, I might have the time wrong.) This is all down at the Ultralight Zone. Daily airshows begin at around 1:00 and wrap up some time around 4:00 (I think). Wednesday and Saturday have the evening airshows, and they begin at around dusk and go until 10:00. The darker it gets, the cooler the air show becomes.  That's just a quick over view leaving out the hundreds of seminars, but that will give you a taste. Get the EAA app for your phone, it will have everything that is scheduled, along with updates. |

Attached File We had some visitors on our Fisk day. Today my team was upstairs working the tower day shift. Early start tomorrow as we staff the temp tower at FLD. Back to the field Tuesday to work departures. Having a blast with a great team of controllers this year. |

Drove numerous times from NH. One stop, usually around Erie, PA westbound, South Bend, IN eastbound. Also flew in numerous times. The old "arrive, and immediately start looking for a VFR departure window day" trick. Several air trips were rather marginal, but we made it OK. And there are some frighteningly incompetent pilots out there; seemed like especially some of the RV pilots. Volunteered at HBC Welcome Wagon several years. Gave it up a few years ago, but it was fun (and trying) while it lasted. |

For many, many years I've been putting off a trip to Oshkosh. However, it is now becoming something I'm starting to seriously think about. Are there any tour operators or packagers that offer a full-on, no fuss, no muss, Airventure experience? I'll fly commercial to and from, but then I'm looking for a full package of accommodations, ground transport to and from the show every day, and VIP admission. |

Two of those hours to pass their BFR, because they couldn't do it in one, and the two hours of flight time to get there, be careful guys." |

You guys made me search for the Cessna. I am pretty sure he has some early stage dementia. I wonder if he wants to be a democrat candidate for president. I found the ATC in both directions.
