My first watch over $400 and it is slow. I bought an Oris Aquis 733 from WatchMaxx in June for $1300. I wasn't sure until i tracked the accuracy. It is 30 sec +/- 3 sec slow per day. Considering Oris's reputation, i was expecting better accuracy. For regular watch buyers, how often does this happen? edit: resolution below. |

An Aquis that is 30 seconds slow seems a bit far off. The fact that it is - 27 to - 33 tells me that it is precise, just tuned in accurately/incorrectly. It has a Sellita SW200 inside. You could take it to most knowledgeable jewelers and one could help regulate it for you. If tuned correctly, you could probably easily hit the +6/-4 standard or better. |

The warranty question I can't answer. I know they're not as big on the accuracy for the 733 movements as they are for the Calibre 400 ones. I'm not sure they'd care too much, but maybe they'd take it back and fix it. I've never worked with their CS. I toured the factory in Holstein. They were super cool to visit and I like the company a lot. That being said, if it was me I'd take it to my local jeweler who has no issues finnicking with the COTS Swiss movements and have him adjust it for whatever he charges me. It wouldn't be much. |

But it sounds like a mirror regulation/ adjustment is all that is needed. |

It likely just needs a full service. Cleaning, lubrication, and regulation. Most of the time slow watches are just dirty and either over or under lubed. The SW200 movement is effectively the same as the ETA 2824 and any reputable watch maker can service it. |

7 weeks from drop off at the AD, Sissie's Log Cabin, to Oris US service to me picking it up. Oris honored the warranty for all but the clasp. I dont know what was wrong with th clasp but it wasnt cheap. My Aquis is now between +3 & +4 sec per day over a week. From +30 to +4 not bad. They did not describe what they fixed. |
