I started taking a 300mg DIM supplement about 3 months ago to counteract testosterone to estrogen conversion.

I do use TRT to counteract a 247T score, but my levels are right around 850 now so nothing crazy.

Over the last year or so I noticed e levels increasing.  Doc said they're still fine, don't sweat it.

Despite cutting down to 10-12% BF (per DEXA scan), I still had this stubborn abdomenal fat (very slight, still bothered me).

May be purely psychosomatic, but after 90 days of daily DIM supplementation, I have leaned out like crazy and the abdomenal fat is gone.  Diet has stayed the same, exercise regimen still the same (strength training 5 days/week, regular walks/hikes with the dog).

I generally don't push supplements; what works for me may not for others.  I'd say DIM has given me excellent measurable results.  The only other would be an argenine/ornithine/citrulline stack that greatly helps in the gym.

Anybody else seen big changes from a natural, non-anabolic supplement?

No headaches.  No negative side-effects at all.

I meant to take a picture of the bottle I got.  It came well-reviewed, but I can't say if that matters at all.

I did notice that I was less emotional, less on edge, after about 3 weeks.  The physical improvements took a couple months.

https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/health-benefits-dim

It's a compound that exists in cruciferous vegetables like brussel sprouts, broccoli, etc.

Don't believe it's possible to eat enough of these vegetables in a day to hit 200+MG of DIM compound, hence the need for a supplement.

It's been studied quite a bit.  Improves prostate health, lowers body fat, reduces inflammation, and changes how men's bodies break down testosterone.

I've personally seen it reduce estrogen levels which affects emotion/mood.  But I'm seeing reduction in some stubborn abdominal fat which correlates with my usage.  Just curious if others had seen the same.

Good to hear.

For the sake of info sharing, what benefits are you seeing?

Normal estrogen levels sometimes a little low , better results using a managing dose of testosterone.

Before I started dim I almost quit trt because of estrogen levels.

My testosterone was under 20 so I really didn’t have a choice but to stay with it.

Now it’s just another vitamin I take everyday.

Interesting topic . Indole-3-carbinol is converted in the body to DIM .

You noted cruciferous vegetables ( brassica family )  produce it . I'll point out that broccoli sprouts have up to 43% more than mature broccoli.  With the broccoli sprouts you also get sulforaphane which several times more potent than in mature broccoli ( not to mention cooking breaks down the enzyme necessary to convert glucoraphynin to sulforaphane....just add mustard powder after cooking for myrosinase) .

So , you could supplement your supplement ( take less and save a bit of money ) while getting another great supplement.

2 level  tbs of broccoli seeds will make a quart jar of sprouts in about 5 days . Quickest,  cheapest gardening on the planet .

* last 1lb bag of broccoli seeds I bought was about $20 . 1lb of broccoli seeds will last a single person probably over 6 months.

*
A 1-pound bag of broccoli seeds yields approximately 42 to 45 tablespoons of seeds. Itd take a single person 2-3 days to consume a quart ....so it may last 9-12 months .

If you would like to look further into indole-3-carbinol's pathways ; search " indole-3-carbinol on endoplasmic reticulum "

Good stuff .

* also ; search " indole-3-carbinol on mitochondria "

Works really well for me.  On TRT was getting E-conversion related sides.  Doc told me to try DIM and I was highly skeptical but it works really well

Clarification: mature broccoli has higher amounts of indole-3-carbinol than sprouts. I saw some discrepancies and had to find out for sure . The sprouts do have higher amounts of sulforaphane.

DIM counteracts Ambien.  I take anastrazole.
