Looking for help combining some parts together along with a modification. I've always wanted a m79. Well I'm too poor for that, so I got a can cannon. Original plan was to get a fightlite SCR lower. Well I'm too poor for a $700 lower for a range toy as well. So here we are. Finally (mostly) figured out my 3d printer and found an SCR model. I want to attach a real m79 stock to it. $25 bucks at Sarco. What I need is someone to adapt the green part (STL) to fit into the m79 stock. The only renderings I was able to find of the m79 was SLDPRT/SLDASM. I can't open them in FreeCAD. No idea what I'm doing yet, I'm trying to learn. Anyone wanna give it a try? This is how I want it to look.  And this is what you have to work with

I did also manage to convert the SLDPRT into a STL, so now I just need someone to combine the 2 parts together so it doesn't look like smashed assholes

Not sure if anyone could give me a hand or at least some pointers in how to strengthen this before I print in PETG? Its a corner brace for pieces of 3/4 plywood wrapped in felt to stand up and create a box in the back of an SUV. Printed in PLA to test and its dimensionally perfect for the job, but the strength I feel may not be there. Does not need to be mega strong but strong enough. If anyone has any tips or wants to revise I would be very grateful, im extremely green to any of this Attached File |

I would chop the open ends flush and print in this orientation to maximize your wall stiffness: Attached File |

The walls can be thicker if needed, currently they are only 1/8”. I need the distance between the walls to be 7/8” and that’s pretty much is the only parameter I need to adhere to. Does anyone have PLA colors needed to do this print? https://makerworld.com/en/models/2393132-monitor-predator?from=search#profileId-2622099 I printed the alien with my P2S in all black and it looks great, but it is easy as they are black anyways. Now I want the predator to go along with it, but I do not have the colors and do not want to spend over $100 in filament for just one model. Otherwise I will have to print in all black and try and hand paint. |
I'm trying to make this shape in sTinkercad and can't figure out how to do it. It's a light diffuser for a ceiling fan light fixture. It's 8-1/4" wide at the top of the arc, corner to corner and 5-1/4" wide at the bottom of the arc and 4" top to bottom. About a millimeter thick. I'll print it out of a transparent filament.

I was laying awake the other night and wondered if there was a way to scan the part and import it into a CAD program. A little online search told me to scan the object as a PNG and convert that via Adobe's free SVG converter. Did that and drug the converted file to Bambu Studio and voila', it worked. A little massaging and I'll have the part I need. This technique opens up a whole new realm of possibilities with this damn printer that I'm spending all my time on!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I would like to ask if someone could do a little CAD drawing for me. I’ve been trying but I just don’t have the skills needed. It should be simple for someone that knows what they’re doing but I’m just too dumb. What I have is a seat mount block from a boat. It basically a rectangular block with a flange on top and a few holes in it. Throw in a few radiused edges and you’re there. This is basically it from the top. The two broken pieces are just sitting together. If someone can help me out I have more pictures and measurements . This thing can’t be purchased so printing is my only option. |

Those that take about 30 hours of print time, hours of setup, specialized filament requests, or a ton of filament, and those that ask for custom CAD work that on a free market would be $500-1000 and they ask it because they refuse to learn CAD themselves. I don't have time for the first, and the second I have no interest in enabling others to be lazy and refuse to learn to fish. I'm not in the business of giving out fish. I offered to teach a class on CAD, zero people said it was worth even a small donation for time, and even when I offered to do it free I had more people complain than say thanks. And there is a Discord server and a forum here where one off questions can be addressed for those reaching themselves. I'd it's a small easy print, I've obliged people countless times. And I've designed probably 20 things for people when I did have the time but I work 80 hours a week and have for 6 months. I don't even have time to spend with my family, so yeah, not doing gratis CAD right now. I imagine many others are of a similar sentiment in a similar boat. |

Yea my first request was before I had a printer. I have one now, and printed what I was asking for. Another request was for a model I could print, but I did not have the colors needed for it, so I wanted to see if anyone did have them. No one offered. But I may have found someone to hand paint models for me for very reasonable prices (one of my wifes co-workers) so I may not have to bother with multi color models anymore. I have started to teach myself to fumble around in fusion 360 and have a stupid rudimentary idea of how to work it, but I have not figured out everything yet. I do have one stl file of a part I need to do some mods to in order to make it work for what I want, but it is not solid, and I am having a time trying to convert it. Is this the only thing going in that container? That container seems overly complicated just for that! I feel like you would be better off with some type of snap lock container.
