I guess they sent it out to agencies in GA for redistribution because I saw another pro Flock PR post from another GA department this morning. This will be brought to light it's all orchestrated even more when someone gathers all these positive PR press releases from a multitude of departments and turns it into a collage of departments across the US that are all saying the exact same thing. That is why Flock hired several large PR corps to partner with just recently. I think it was talked about some pages back. ![]() https://www.wjcl.com/article/savannah-police-flock-system-misuse-investigation/73321620 WJCL branding logo Updated: 6:31 PM EDT Jul 31, 2026 Editorial Standards ⓘ Haley Kindle Haley KindleEmail SAVANNAH, Ga. — Above video: July 31 headlines The Savannah Police Department says six employees have been placed on administrative leave after an internal audit found potential misuse of the department’s Flock Safety license plate reader system. The department says four officers and two civilian employees are facing possible discipline, including termination. All six cases have also been referred to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an independent criminal investigation. SPD says the alleged misuse was discovered through its auditing and oversight processes as part of the Flock Safety Audit Assistance Program. The department launched its internal investigation Monday, July 27. According to SPD, the employees allegedly used the license plate reader system for searches unrelated to law enforcement purposes, including searches involving personal acquaintances and family members. The department also says one officer allegedly provided access to the SPD Flock system to personnel from an outside law enforcement agency. https://www.businessinsider.com/flock-camera-misread-license-plate-reader-california-roseville-police-2026-7 In one California town, Flock misread license plates in 71% of the alerts it sent to police Business Insider filed public-records requests to obtain email correspondence, data, meeting notes, contracts, and other records that reveal the extensive back-and-forth between Roseville and Flock over repeated errors by Flock's system. The cameras regularly missed vehicles, captured blurry images, misread license plate characters and states, and sent delayed alerts to police about vehicles possibly connected to crimes, the records show. Roseville — which, Flock noted, has an atypical setup for its cameras— has flagged problems to the startup dozens of times over the past four years. The department said it has reported issues to the company as recently as this year, and it continues to meet with Flock twice a month to provide updates and share concerns. Under "trust me bro, totally not for tracking people, just your car" (as if that makes much difference): A factor that contributed to the misread problems in Roseville was the "particularly unique deployment" that the city requested, a Flock spokeswoman said. Roseville said it has its cameras configured so that they capture only the backs of vehicles, a setup intended to avoid capturing personally identifiable information like faces. Roseville's setup included older hardware and placement of cameras higher and further from vehicles than the company typically recommends, Flock added. But the mistakes are just benign!!! The consequences of a Flock camera misread can be devastating. As Business Insider previously reported, in at least a dozen instances in other jurisdictions across the country, misreads, or a lack of verification by officers, resulted in innocent people being stopped at gunpoint or detained in jail, among other outcomes. In Toledo, Ohio, driver Brandon Upchurch was mauled by a police dog after a Flock camera misread the "7" on his license plate as a "2." As a result of his injuries, he said, he lost his job and was evicted from his home. He settled a lawsuit against the city and police officer for $35,000. Circus of other errors @ the link. |

https://gbi.georgia.gov/press-releases/2026-07-27/gbi-arrests-former-ogeechee-circuit-district-attorneys-office The GBI has arrested and charged Andrae Wright, age 44, of Statesboro, GA, with Misuse of a License Plate Reader System, Stalking, Computer Invasion of Privacy, and Violation of Oath of Office. At the time of the offense, Wright was employed as an investigator with the Ogeechee Circuit District Attorney’s Office. On July 9, 2026, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate allegations following an internal audit of the Flock Safety System. Wright was a former employee of the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and still had access to their Flock Safety System account. Preliminary information indicates that Wright accessed the Flock Safety System more than 60 times between June 15, 2026, and July 5, 2026, for non-law enforcement purposes. |

In public facing communications, they (Flock and police agencies with the ability to access live feeds) tell everyone they just capture snapshots of plates and vehicles which is a lie. There is no way that they wouldn't take money from whoever wants the data. Especially now that they know that they have this big hurdle to overcome with pubic image and various municipalities that might cancel contracts in the future. I have no doubt hey will do whatever to grab as much cash as they can get, while they can. |

https://www.thedrive.com/news/flock-ceo-claims-its-cameras-arent-a-constitutional-violation-cut-and-dry Langley told me, “People tend to have three concerns or three questions about the company: privacy, constitutionality, and accountability.” Addressing the Fourth Amendment and legal issue Langley said, “You mentioned the constitutional one. That one’s pretty cut and dry. You and I don’t get to pick what’s a constitutional violation and what’s not. We have judges, we have elected officials, there’s a process for that. We follow the law, we follow the Constitution. So far, in our belief and what will be for a long time, the courts have deemed this is not a warrantless search; this is a valid product as it relates to the Fourth Amendment. So I don’t see any change there.” Regarding privacy and data retention Langley said, “On the privacy one, though, there’s some real questions that we ask as well. Here’s a good example: Before I started Flock, this type of ALPR data was stored in perpetuity. It was resold for commercial purposes by repo trucks to insurance providers. It was pretty nasty, in my opinion. We were one of the first companies to say there’s going to be a 30-day default retention, and we aren’t going to sell the data.” Notice how he flat out avoids that privacy isn't tracking, and that privacy is one of the smaller things? Also, the "well the constitution is what the courts say." (implied: "suck it plebes, we can influence the judges, you can't). So much for "It means what the text meant when it was written." "Default retention" - yesss, and we noticed in the transparency portals people retain the data for more than that, one of them up to 1000+ days. Also, do tell everyone how "well we only take your information we couldn't get without you without your consent or knowledge and hold it for thirty days" makes it ok? Do you even know what reasoning is? Or did the $$$$ drive that out of your skull? How cities use and implement Flock is up to them, Langley said. But those decisions will, according to Flock’s CEO, greatly impact public safety and the effectiveness of the system. Hmm. I suspect IBM would have uttered the same lines during the late 30s and the ww2 era. |

Now, take 11 minutes to look at how data from the above Flock Condor system was captured, and hacked for that matter. Data they can provide or sell to anyone... Videos like this need to go viral and travel far and wide to show what is really being captured and saved (and sold) within their ecosystem. There are public records that show people have told Flock they hacked the footage and data and Flock didn't even care to respond. In the video below, they even captured footage, and posed in front of hacked Flock Condor cameras to prove that they made their way into the system. ![]() This Flock Camera Leak is like Netflix For Stalkers |

https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2026/07/30/baytown-officer-resigns-as-investigations-continue-into-alleged-misuse-of-flock-license-plate-reader-system The Baytown Police Department says a former officer has resigned while investigators continue looking into allegations involving the department’s use of the Flock license plate reader (LPR) system. In an update released by Chief John Stringer, the department said it opened two separate investigations after the allegations surfaced: an internal affairs investigation and a separate criminal investigation. Stringer said both cases are still ongoing, and the officer at the center of the investigation left the department the day before the latest update was issued. |
