When you say late model, I'm guessing you're referring to the Gen 2 Titan/Armada. I have a '21 Titan with about 105K miles. I kept waiting to use the 100K warranty on something before it ran out- never needed to. I wish they still made the exact truck with some updates to the tech. It needs no other improvements. Rides well, tows well, and 19mpg + on the highway is decent for a V8 without nanny tech. |

| OP, back when we had an Armada I kinda researched it cause I just loved that engine, and the only issue I became aware of is that infrequently, some of them suffered cracked exhaust manifolds. However I think they musta changed the manifolds at some point, cause reports of the cracking kinda went away. |

I've had three service nv3500 vans with the 5.6l. 1st one a 17', had 180k miles when it went to another area. 2nd one a 13' had approx 170k miles, one morning started it to warm while filled pre inspection sheet, then put in gear, drove about 10 feet and engine died, wouldn't restart. This was at approx 270k miles, while it was down for engine replacement, they sent me my 3rd, an 11', it had approx 250k miles, at 320k transmission failed, they either rebuilt or replaced it idk, I had it back within a week, it's got 390k on it now and still running strong. The 2nd one took about a year to fix, they'd put a jasper rebuild in it, delivered it to our yard, it wouldn't start next morning, so back it went, when it came back it'd start & run, but you could hear the timing chain clattering & it sputtered and shifted like shit. Told them I'd keep driving the 11'. |
