Got some overseas travel coming up soon and borrowed my kid’s Nintendo 3DS to kill some time… What are good games for it? We have Zelda Ocarina Of Time and Majoras Mask which are great, but I beat those when I was a kid. Looking for something new. I’m not a gamer so I don’t even know where to start. |

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, for a long time this was the definitive way to play Xenoblade Chronicles. Now it's on the Switch with a new release. Great game though if you only have a 3DS. Tales of Abyss Zelda Link Between Worlds Fire Emblem Awakening Fire Emblem Birthright Fire Emblem Conquest (the much harder game) Resident Evil Revelations Shin Megami Tensei IV Bravely Default Bravely Second Dragon Quest VII The Legend of Legacy If I had to choose just 3: Tales of Abyss (40-60 hours to beat main story) Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (50-80 hours to beat main story, 115+ to complete everything) Bravely Default (50-55 hours to beat main story) The longest game in this list is likely Dragon Quest VII, 70-100 hours to beat it. |

I can't believe what 3DS XL are going for I wanted to get a newer one as mine the bumpers are sticking (common issue) and my stick is drifting a bit. I am not paying $300 plus for a system that is 13 years old.  Games I like: KIRBY PLANET ROBOBOT POKEMON OMEGA RUBY/ALPHA SAPPHIRE FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING SUPER MARIOLAND |

Now you can easily mod it to unlock every title from the 3DS e-shop. That's the simple reason. |

One of then primary reasons people do this is to have access to games they can otherwise not obtain. The e-shop is closed. Absolutely no other way to obtain any of those games, many of which were exclusive and no physical copies available. Some of the physical games cost upwards of $200, and I, like many, refuse to pay it. Plus it opens up the availability of playing other region games, such as Japan, where many games never come to the US. |
