Working nights in a refinery right now... so that means I can go buy school auction stuff when I'm supposed to be sleeping! Attached File Attached File T20 mortiser. Not a ton of info about these online. Didn't really NEED one but I'm a sucker for old iron. 300 bucks after taxes and bidder premium. Sadly, didn't come with any of the chisels. |

| Very cool. Is it 3 phase? Can't remember which Youtube woodworking video host it was, but he had an ancient mortise like that. It did amazing work. Super robust and stable. Now you need to clean it up and find chisels that fit it. I'm sure they are out there. |

A Chinese 2hp rated vfd is cheaper than remotoring it., I think. Some models had a second motor on the base to power feed the work into the chisel it but this one wasn't so equipped. I think it weighs close to 500 pounds. |

Wish there was some more data about newman out there. They're still in business but mostly big production machines now. There's a brass serial tag on it. Might try calling them and see if they know anything. Attached File |
