My smartphone is getting to be a few years old. Slowing down some, battery, all that. I'm very happy with this very basic android phone, but my last phone died unexpectedly, and I'm starting to worry one day thats going to happen to this one. Whats the best bang for buck smartphones these days? It looks like there are some decent ruggedized smartphone now? I'd like to stick to android, but otherwise I don't keep up with phones at all. I don't need any flagship models, or anything too crazy. I'd keep this phone forever it if held up, but i try to be proactive. Current phone is a samsung s20 FE. It was like $300, and I love that it was relatively inexpensive. But, I'd pay more for a more rugged phone. |

I purchased a Motorola Moto G 2025 for $59.99 at Walmart a few weeks ago. Runs Android 15. Replaced an old Motorola that was probably 6 or 8 years old. It was about 10-15% larger than the older phone but weights at least double because it has a big battery inside. I usually use anywhere from 8-14% battery per day. Only issue was I had to disable all the hand holding AI bs. Been great so far. |
