2018 F350 ext cab long box 4x4 diesel pickup with almost 80K miles on it. 30 K miles towing a 36 ft 12k lb fifth wheel camper. We downgraded to a 30 ft tow behind and the truck is getting real bouncy. What shocks do I needed? |

| I used to like bilstein (4600 vs 5100), though last time I went with Rancho 9100XL adjustable…. night and day better ride quality, on and off road, and handling. The ability to adjust to your vehicle is awesome! Plus, the larger volume helps a lot with washboards. |

| I think that is one of the downsides to heavy bumper pull trailers. Have you considered airbags? I have both bilsteins and airbags and if I had to choose one or the other I'd pick airbags. Given, 95% of my towing is gooseneck, so it may not have the same effect |

We down graded from a 12k fifth wheel to a 6k bumper tow. I have installed numerous pairs of airbags and air shocks and just do not want to deal with those on my personnel vehicle. I saw a lot of guys towing heavy fifth wheel campers with 3/4 ton pickups and using air bags and air shocks to compensate for the too small of a truck. not a safe idea. |

It isn't so much for the tongue weight, but for what the tongue weight does when you hit a dip or bump. |

I dont have the big trucks like you all do, but love my Expeditions and there are only 3 options for those, KYB, Bilestein and Rancho. I would not try anything else. I want to try to the Rancho adjustable as the factory were never great on this particular Expi, and were most likley from KYB. |
