It’s out today. Made it through the introduction and most of chapter 1. Seems interesting so far, and I think she is going to cover the control hypothesis in a modern context. |

This just felt smaller to me holding it. Not like I feel sleighted, just noting my first thoughts as I opened the box and flipped through it. |

| I'm several chapters in and to be honest, I'm not enjoying it all that much. It's a very interesting theory she's building towards but reading the book is a bit like reading a dissertation. Very academic in tone, which I very much dislike reading. The topic of "UFO's" hasn't come up yet, just a bunch of Catholic intellectuals, living and dead, some classical philosophers and modern technology. I don't like the scenario I see her building towards and "Childhood's End" is a fantastic fictional reference point on which to build. |

These are the kind of topics I write about and publish and she is not breaking any new ground at all. And all of her references are from things that happened in 2024. They can match the artificial world realm. They've shown they can work with electronics (Taking nukes on/off line, strange messages,etc) and maybe they need a better AI to communicate. (At 45-55 minutes area). I suppose that would cause the race we are seeing and video cards costing more than a somewhat decent used car. I'm absolutely positive that I'm completely unsure where she's at or headed. |

Those that have experienced one, rather than seeing a light in the sky vs seeing a light in the sky and you feel like there's a glitch in the matrix or something, it somehow broadcasts emotions like "nothing to see here". Lots of stories bout the NHI communicating telepathically with certain people. What was that thing where people that had aromatic childhoods or extreme conditions growing up are far more open to something, but I forgot what hat was about, I don't think it was a movie, I'm just posting here because it's a brain worm now and I can't remember the source which is a bit odd. |

Okay... with the next ten or so pages I am getting a potential - general - direction of where she might be leading us in that Vallee-esque way. We'll see if this bears out. The emphasis on Childhood's End* and the concepts Clarke introduced with that - overlaid (in my head) with the concepts of The Three Body Problem are what really made me sit up and take notice... Let me crunch on this for a bit more before I try to write it out, but in my mind's eye I can see a reason all the things she's writing about are connected, including aliens. *Full disclosure: I had earlier in my life read Childhood's End and rejected it thinking it was an anti-religious screed (even though Clarke is one of my very favorite authors) and now I need to re-read it. I think I need to re-buy it actually, I think I got rid of it because I didn't see the deeper meaning 'til DWP gave it deeper context. |

I’ve sit on this book for a couple of weeks. It’s lived rent free in my head. So i read Childhoods End with fresh eyes. Now it’s coming together for me. I *think* this book is some kind of “read between the lines” statement more than my initial read. It’s like the 70+ years of the legacy program and the way the world has shaped up is similar to the period when the overlords arrived but remained hidden. The agenda came only when faith was at it’s lowest, and people were easily deceived. (IE, AI generation makes deception easy). I really think, if anyone is a fan of Pasulka and was somewhat disappointed in this book, a fresh read of Childhoods End is time very well spent. |

152 pages in … … and I think she’s getting to a place where others are starting to get to. The teaser at the end of the latest Telepathy Tapes (Talk Tracks sub-pod) said they’d be discussing how souls may not be completely separate in the next pod. And I am starting to think this is where Pasulka is bringing us, only viewed through a religious lens. |
