I've got a shiny new(ish) Expedition with one working and one spare unprogrammed fob. Boom - got new trial extended license... and it says I need the Paid extended license for PATS, and that I can buy it on their Product page. Their product page has no visible options to buy a paid license. Such Sad, Much Cranky. Am I missing something or is there no way to get the paid license anymore? |

If you're trying to program keys you don't need a paid license. Or at least I've never needed one. I just programmed new keys for my F150 a couple months ago with the free license. But you can try here if you must |

You were able to do transponder keys or full fobs? Mine is a 2019 - what year was yours? When I fired up the PATS programming module to add a fob, it said the Trial Extended license was not sufficient. I used the option from your link that took Paypal - - it worked. I now have two working fobs! I still can't get the global window up/down or remote start to work though. One step at a time.. I'll get there. |

It's a lot of searching - and experimentation. Searching for similar models can get you tips & ideas that might work on yours. A lot of Expedition information comes from F150 forums. I was able to pull the keypad master code from my Towncar, and it lets you program a new fob when you only have one. I'm pretty sure if I add a perimeter security module it will allow remote start too. Not all the options work for everyone. Base trims don't always have the supporting modules for interesting features. It's also got all the options mashed together. Bed lights don't exist on my model, as an example. It has gotten better though - instead of editing memory locations, you can use an option with feature names and drop-down selections. It's far from being an easy to use appliance, but it's not bad. |
