So my son and ersatz daughter in law are going to be spending the summer with us.  They both work out.  I have a well equipped gym but they have put in a request for a leg extension/leg curl machine.

I'm shopping around, everything on FB is junk.  I'm thinking the GMWD machines are the way to go, but there appear to be lots of versions of it.  There is a well reviewed one for under $300. Not particularly set on it though.

Figured I'd check ARF for experiences.

I use the low cable and bench in decline to do hamstring curls.

Leg extensions, I got nothing.

Look at the LionsCool v4.  Roughly the same price as the GMWD.

Note that

My leg work has always centered around squats, SLs, RDLs, and step

My son and eDIL are coming from well equipped collegiate gyms.

The GMWD above is the one my son suggested. It will probably go to him when he gets a house house.

That will probably work fine. Those are nice because you can change the weight curve on them as needed.

I have one of the old school flat bench curl and extension machines, and honestly I almost never use it. I thought it would be a good idea to have one, but can't seem to fit leg isolation into any programs.

This is mostly for the kids.  I'll give it a try.

This is the best "home" gym version out right now. Tons of vids on youtube that review it and it's very well reviewed.

If I was in the market, this is what I would go with.
