There's even fewer people there on a Saturday . . . a couple of cops and maybe a tour guide. The cleaning crews don't even work on weekends. It's obvious that large protests will be necessary as part of this ordeal, so the better question is WHY NOT start tomorrow? Because it's better than not protesting at all when the iron is still hot, people are pissed off, and looking for something --ANYTHING-- they can do to help budge the needle and prevent the lost off our nation. Besides laziness, why not meet tomorrow? Get out there, meet the people you need to make the next gathering even more effective. Rinse and repeat until we get what we want. |

If you haven't bothered to make connections with trusted people that can verify this for you without Facebook/Google/Twitter's help, I'm afraid you're just gonna have to take it on faith. I drove 22 hours (each way) to Virginia by myself in the hopes that the Lobby Day rally in Richmond wasn't gonna be a two-three thousand person joke. In Arfcom alone we've got around ten folks converging on Austin from 3-4 hours away; I suspect the turnout will be better than we expect, but only so long as we actually show up! |
