Been into tabletop for quite a while now, since I discovered cyberpunk 2020 in high school 15 or so years ago. I have always wanted to curate a library too, and I always thought it would be so cool have a library of RPG books. Back in the day, books were quite cheap, I could get lots of them on eBay for next to nothing. Over time, I sold off my collection and always regretted it. Now, rpg books are generally quite expensive, and the collector groups for them on Facebook have absolutely exploded since I first joined them. The market is slowly becoming what the vintage video game market is at the moment. Well recently, a once in a lifetime opportunity struck me. My high school art teacher has been a gamer since the 70s. He has no kids or anything, and wants to move out of state and was getting rid of his entire collection. I got in there and grabbed tons of books, games, and minis (have several thousand D&D and pathfinder minis in totes I am sorting through). Anyway, books and box sets were $1 each, and board games ended up being about $2 each. I went absolutely nuts and basically bought him out. He was meticulous with his collections too. Here I am now. A lot of my friends got stuff from him as well, but I got the really good stuff. I am gonna relocate these shelves and reorganize, but I am so thrilled to have an instant library of gaming history. I plan on making a YouTube channel and Instagram page, just going through the crazier stuff I have here. I plan on further hunting for more stuff and filming my journeys as I thrift for more systems to add to my library.

Torg was the one thing that even at "free" didn't move. Which is kinda tragic, because it's so batshit crazy that years down the road there's nothing quite like its era of insanity. Rifts was crazy with everything being so badass. Torg was just bananas. It was confusing and lame at the time, but now is just awesome in retrospect for how insane it was. |

Oh man I miss doing scenarios in restaurants with friends! I am working on getting a good gaming table, and I’ll be all set for never leaving the house. Wife and I are planning on our first kid soon, so he or she will be subject to plenty of tabletops games growing up. |

Nice score op . I was in 2 different clubs . Both now defunct sadly . We played a lot of Battletech but also a rpg Called " the Fantsy trip " we jist called it Melee . Great quick moving system kinda like dnd but Much faster moving thus more action . Steve Jackson product |
