Not a word about looking for the swatters. I searched, MPD never did contact any outside agencies or the feds to stop the swatting and thats part of the reason they settled. MPD chief said we respond to every call and there was nothing to investigate so fuck off. The individual officers also didn't have QI in case of a lawsuit because a judge agreed that they violated the couple's fourth amen rights- another apparent cause of the settlement. Give that state to canada and the eu

I’m not saying this is an apples to apples comparison, but the fire department responds to every fire alarm as if it’s a real fire. 9/10 times it’s a false alarm but we still respond. Now if we keep getting dispatched over and over and over again to the same address we’ll figure out why it keeps going into alarm. But you can’t just not respond to a call because “we know it’s bullshit.” The MPD failed to investigate why they keep getting swatted. |

I mean, in less than one minute, I thought up: A - Change your fucking policy B - Get the homeowners cell phone and make a call, create a fucking safe word or some shit. This shit isn't difficult. 55 times? I mean, after about the 4th or 5th time you would think anyone above a 7th grade level of logic would come up with a plan besides keep sending the storm troopers. |

Something that will allow law enforcement to do whatever they want, or feel is necessary, to keep us lowly civilians safe and in line. |

A number of questions: Were all of the "heavy" responses when the incidents first started? Were the incidents spread across multiple shifts (especially with the 4 in one day)? What were the responses like on the times where the officers are state on BWC that they know of the swatting issue with that location? Are the prior calls for service being put out to the officers? Is the address flagged in the CAD system? |

They still got multiple guns pointed at them every time, hauled out of the house and the house cleared. The PD even put out a memo that the husband was going to be upset and problematic...because they had been there so many times. |

The cops where I live have told me certain folks have been swatted and now they have notes in the system to verify before they roll out. The Woods has some folks in it that money and/or ruffle feathers. they must be real bad they can't "figure it out" |
