As of July 18 with no warning, Xbox ends purchases and renting of films on console and PC.   WOW!  


I guess I was stupid for thinking it was convenient to buy movies and watch them on the same platform.


Only reason I could find was that they wanted to focus more on Games.  It's such a Sony like move.

If the future is GamePass streaming on handheld devices, laptops and the like (play anywhere), then yeah, I suppose it is.

My experience with GP streaming was that it sucked.
