| Since I got sober in July of 2019, I started making my overall health a priority and really started focusing on exercise. FFWD to almost 7 years later at 53 years old and I feel like I am in in really good shape, especially for the area I work and live in. I got back into pullups recently and I am now at 7 strict dead hangs (that's the equivalent of like 30+ Mark Wahlbergs!) and in April 2020 I did 880 pushups in a day, so I was curious how many pushups I could do all in one set. In the Marines when I was with SSP, I maxed out one time at 200. Now I can do 60. I think 60 strict pushups is legit, although I know there are some 50+ dudes out there that will smoke that number. Poll for the curious. Stay at it and SFMF! |

I probably couldn't do 15 now. ETA - From 38 to 42, I used to do push-ups, before work, during break and lunch, on re-bar before concrete pours, and after work. Now the only push-ups I do are orange, and made of sherbet. |

I'm not 50, but oddly I can usually do more dips than pushups in one set. I don't really train pushups much because they murder my wrists. I would imagine maybe 15-20 at the top end if I'm keeping a hollow body the whole time and not just dropping to the deck on each rep. |

I am 65. Workout 6 days a week. The max I have done at once is 30. In sets, I have done 100 in concert with the rest of the workout, which included chest press and flys. I have not tried a max pushups though I did the Murph and hit 200, but after 160 I had to drop to my knees to finish |

Used to max out Army PFT and pushups were the easiest for me. After I turned 45, shit went downhill fast. At 51, I can rep out 55 to 60, but I hit a wall and that next pushup just doesn't happen. Not a slow tired, I mean a wall. But I also transitioned from strength training to running more. My knees make sounds like I'm cooking popcorn, and running is all that keeps the pain away. Pushups aren't a focus anymore. |
