| A close family member started out in the Marines as a private. He was just promoted to Warrant officer 3 and within just a few days promoted again to Captain. Is that normal? How big of a deal is this for him? I’m damn proud of him for all he has accomplished in his life but he never talks about what he does. |

They are two different boards, the CWO board automatically pulls everyone in zone into the selection process but the LDO board they have to apply for, and if they get selected for LDO chances are they would also got selected for CWO3. |
