Anyone playing? I play Battlefield 6 and the BR Solo mode we got temporarily gave me an itch to try another extraction shooter, so I tried Marathon. Now I'm hooked ![]() If you're thinking about trying it, just keep this in mind: you will lose all your shit, and lose it often. If you cannot get over "gear fear" then I wouldn't bother even trying this game. |

I was skeptical about it, but tried the server slam and loved it. Have been streaming it daily. |

Having played the first 3 Marathon games I can say with good authority this new Marathon game has nothing in common with the original games and the 100% female liberal run Bungie is just stealing the name for nostalgia purposes. All the cool guys that made Marathon and Halo are gone from that company now. Yes I played the server slam and won't be buying the game. They could have just called it something else and I wouldn't be so pissed off. |

I got lucky and they were all really talkative and helpful. I quickly learned that wasn't the normal though lol. So many randoms just not working together with little to no communication at all. i switched to solo and have been having a great time. |

I have pretty good luck killing randoms with blue shields and taking it with free kits lol. We rocked the entire lobby all night tonight. We only lost 2 encounters, only lost our gear once because one of us survived to revive. We had a 4 way fight where we engaged 1 squad, killed them, and another popped up behind their bodies, we killed them, and another popped up behind them lol. We had 9 bodies just too full of loot to carry. It's extreme highs and lows though, yesterday we lost so much I emptied my vault lol. My stream today was named Free Kit Friday: I lost it all, time to get it back! ![]() My vault is full again |

Whoever came to watch the stream tonight, Thanks! It seems like my mic was not working for some reason when you were there. I was talking, but no audio. I don't know what happened. My mic doesn't have any audio until around hour 5 of the stream. Yikes ![]() Thanks though for the bits! |

I convinced my brother-in-law to pick up the game from my stream last night lol. We partied up and invited his friend who is extremely good. He carried us and we ran the lobbies 5 times in a row before finally being eliminated on our final 6th run I'm still a bit used to Battlefield 6 after many hours of playing since last year. I do above average in basic firefights, but I stall a bit when it comes to incorporating abilities during a fight. Sliding causing a lot of heat is also an issue because I constantly slide in BF6 so it's a habit I keep doing in Marathon ![]() I wish there was a test range or something where I could practice in peace. Maybe I'll just do some solo runs and try to do nothing but practice in a corner somewhere. |
