I'm sorry to hear about your dad Crowgirl173, you and your family are in my prayers. I was just thinking about Gene the other day and wondering how he was doing, something told me to call his phone but I didn't. Back in the day we used to call each other sometimes when things would blow up in the EE feedback section. We would bounce ideas off each other or ask what the other thought about this situation or that sideways deal. We also talked about life, work and family sometimes. He was really proud of his children and spoke of you often. He gave me some great advice and direction in those days. We used to send each other stuff just because, of course Gene is the one that started it and I still have the knife, the very first thing he sent me, it's always with me and I'll cherish it forever. He was a great moderator and a really good friend to me and many others here. Rest in peace Gene, I'll never forget you. |

I'm so very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I was a "Daddy's Girl" and it is one of the most profound things that can happen, to lose your dad. I had planned to reach out to him, to ask why he called himself "Crowboy" since I am a lover of crows, and we have two in our household. It is a good point to note that we should not wait, because now it is too late for me to reach out to him. Thank you so much for posting here. Thank you for letting us know. I will miss him.
